\nAbstract: <\/strong> In recent years, probabilistic programming languages (PPLs) have\u00a0become a popular tool in the field of Bayesian Machine Learning.\u00a0Roughly speaking, PPLs allow one to specify and reason about\u00a0probabilistic models, by writing programs that include probabilistic\u00a0random choice constructs and observation statements.<\/p>\n

In this talk I introduce a qualitative variant of a probabilistic\u00a0programming called “ranked programming”. Such a language can be used\u00a0to reason about uncertainty expressible by distinguishing “normal”\u00a0from “exceptional” events. This kind of uncertainty often appears in\u00a0common sense reasoning problems, where precise probabilities are\u00a0unknown. Semantically, the approach is based on a qualitative\u00a0abstraction of probability theory called “ranking theory”.<\/p>\n

I discuss syntax and semantics of a ranked programming language,\u00a0explain the similarities and differences between ranked programming\u00a0and probabilistic programming, and present a number of examples that\u00a0demonstrate the practical utility of the approach.<\/p>\n

\u8bb2\u5ea7\u62a5\u9053<\/strong><\/p>\n

2018\u5e746\u670818\u65e5\u4e0a\u5348\uff0c\u201c\u7b2c91\u671f\u897f\u6eaa\u903b\u8f91\u8bba\u575b\u201d\u9080\u8bf7\u7684\u4e3b\u8bb2\u4eba\u662f\u5fb7\u56fd\u79d1\u5e03\u4f26\u8328-\u6717\u9053\u5927\u5b66\u7684Tjitze Rienstra\u535a\u58eb\u3002Rienstra\u5728\u4eca\u5929\u7684\u62a5\u544a\u4e2d\u4e3b\u8981\u4ecb\u7ecd\u4e86\u4e00\u79cd\u6982\u7387\u7f16\u7a0b\u8bed\u8a00\uff08Probabilistic Programming Language\uff09\u7684\u53d8\u4f53\u2014\u2014\u201c\u6392\u5e8f\u7f16\u7a0b\u8bed\u8a00\u201d\u3002\u8fd9\u79cd\u8bed\u8a00\u4f7f\u7528\u6392\u5e8f\u7406\u8bba\uff08Ranking Theory\uff09\u4ee3\u66ff\u6982\u7387\u8bba\uff0c\u5e76\u4e0e\u6982\u7387\u7f16\u7a0b\u8bed\u8a00\u8fdb\u884c\u7ed3\u5408\uff0c\u901a\u8fc7\u533a\u5206\u201c\u6b63\u5e38\u201d\u548c\u201c\u60ca\u8bb6\u201d\u884c\u4e3a\u6765\u5904\u7406\u4e0d\u786e\u5b9a\u6027\u3002\u4ed6\u9996\u5148\u5206\u522b\u4ecb\u7ecd\u4e86\u6982\u7387\u7f16\u7a0b\u8bed\u8a00\u548c\u6392\u5e8f\u7406\u8bba\u3002\u5176\u6b21\u901a\u8fc7\u5c06\u6392\u5e8f\u7406\u8bba\u548c\u6982\u7387\u8bba\u8fdb\u884c\u6bd4\u8f83\uff0c\u89e3\u91ca\u4e86\u4e24\u8005\u4e4b\u95f4\u7684\u76f8\u4f3c\u548c\u5dee\u5f02\u4e4b\u5904\u3002\u7136\u540e\u4ed6\u8be6\u7ec6\u4ecb\u7ecd\u4e86\u6392\u5e8f\u7f16\u7a0b\u8bed\u8a00\u7684\u8bed\u6cd5\u548c\u5f62\u5f0f\u8bed\u4e49\u3002\u6700\u7ec8\u4ed6\u901a\u8fc7\u7535\u8def\u8bca\u65ad\u7684\u6848\u4f8b\u8bf4\u660e\u4e86\u6392\u5e8f\u7f16\u7a0b\u8bed\u8a00\u4e2d\u7684\u8fed\u4ee3\u4fee\u6b63\u65b9\u5f0f\u3002<\/p>\n

\u6982\u7387\u7f16\u7a0b\u8bed\u8a00\uff08PPL\uff09\u662f\u57fa\u4e8e\u7f16\u7a0b\u8bed\u8a00\u8fdb\u884c\u6269\u5145\u7684\uff0c\u4e3b\u8981\u7684\u7279\u5f81\u662f\uff081\uff09\u4ece\u7ed9\u5b9a\u7684\u6982\u7387\u5206\u5e03\u4e2d\u968f\u673a\u62bd\u53d6\u6570\u503c\uff0c\u4ee5\u53ca\uff082\uff09\u57fa\u4e8e\u89c2\u5bdf\u6765\u8fdb\u884c\u6761\u4ef6\u4fee\u6b63\u3002PPL\u7684\u4e00\u4e2a\u663e\u8457\u8868\u73b0\u662f\u5176\u4ea7\u751f\u7684\u4e0d\u662f\u786e\u5b9a\u6027\u7ed3\u679c\uff0c\u800c\u662f\u53ef\u80fd\u7ed3\u679c\u7684\u6982\u7387\u5206\u5e03\u3002\u8fd9\u4e0e\u6392\u5e8f\u7406\u8bba\u7684\u8868\u793a\u65b9\u5411\u6709\u5173\uff0c\u6392\u5e8f\u7406\u8bba\u53ef\u4ee5\u88ab\u8ba4\u4e3a\u662f\u5bf9\u6982\u7387\u8bba\u8fdb\u884c\u5b9a\u6027\u62bd\u8c61\u4ea7\u751f\u7684\u7ed3\u679c\uff0c\u7528\u53c2\u6570\u6765\u8861\u91cf\u4e8b\u4ef6\u7684\u201c\u60ca\u8bb6\u201d\u7a0b\u5ea6\uff0c\u4f8b\u5982\uff0c\u6392\u5e8f0\u8868\u793a\u6b63\u5e38\uff0c\u6392\u5e8f1\u8868\u793a\u60ca\u8bb6\uff0c\u6392\u5e8f2\u8868\u793a\u975e\u5e38\u60ca\u8bb6\u7b49\u7b49\uff0c\u5f53\u6392\u5e8f\u4e3a\u221e\u65f6\u8868\u793a\u4e0d\u53ef\u80fd\u3002\u6392\u5e8f\u7406\u8bba\u76f8\u8f83\u4e8e\u6982\u7387\u8bba\uff0c\u8ba1\u7b97\u4e0a\u66f4\u7b80\u5355\uff0c\u5e76\u4e14\u4e0d\u9700\u8981\u6982\u7387\u8d4b\u503c\u5373\u53ef\u8fdb\u884c\u6709\u610f\u4e49\u7684\u63a8\u65ad\u3002\u8bed\u6cd5\u4e0a\uff0c\u8fd9\u79cd\u8bed\u8a00\u5728\u7f16\u7a0b\u8bed\u8a00\u7684\u57fa\u7840\u4e0a\u6269\u5c55\u4e86\u4e24\u79cd\u7279\u6b8a\u8868\u8fbe\u5f0f\u3002\u7b2c\u4e00\u79cd\u662f\u6392\u5e8f\u9009\u62e9\uff0c\u5b83\u5177\u6709a<<e>>b\u7684\u5f62\u5f0f\uff0c\u8868\u793a\u6b63\u5e38\u60c5\u51b5\u4e0b\u6267\u884ca\uff0c\u5982\u679ca\u672a\u88ab\u6267\u884c\uff0c\u5219\u6267\u884cb\uff08\u60ca\u8bb6\u7a0b\u5ea6\u4e3ae\uff09\u3002\u7b2c\u4e8c\u79cd\u662f\u89c2\u5bdf\u3002\u5b83\u7684\u5f62\u5f0f\u662f observe b\uff0c\u8868\u793ab\u88ab\u89c2\u5bdf\u5230\u6210\u7acb\uff0c\u56e0\u6b64\u9700\u8981\u57fa\u4e8e\u89c2\u5bdf\u5bf9\u6392\u5e8f\u8fdb\u884c\u4fee\u6b63\uff0c\u4e3b\u8981\u8868\u73b0\u4e3a\u5220\u9664\u4e0d\u6ee1\u8db3b\u7684\u66ff\u4ee3\u65b9\u6848\uff0c\u5e76\u4e14\u7edf\u4e00\u5c06\u5269\u4f59\u66ff\u4ee3\u65b9\u6848\u7684\u6392\u5e8f\u964d\u4e3a0\u3002\u8fed\u4ee3\u4fee\u6b63\u7684\u610f\u601d\u662f\u8bf4\u5728\u4e00\u4e9b\u767e\u5206\u767e\u786e\u5b9a\u7684\u89c2\u5bdf\u7ed3\u679c\u524d\uff0c\u5bf9\u539f\u6709\u7684\u6392\u5e8f\u8fdb\u884c\u4fee\u6b63\uff0c\u8fd9\u662f\u5341\u5206\u5fc5\u8981\u7684\uff0c\u56e0\u4e3a\u6211\u4eec\u4e0d\u53ef\u80fd\u63a5\u53d7\u4e0e\u89c2\u5bdf\u77db\u76fe\u7684\u6392\u5e8f\u3002L-conditioning\u5c31\u662f\u4e00\u79cd\u5e38\u7528\u7684\u65b9\u6cd5\uff0c\u5176\u7528\u53c2\u6570x\u6765\u8868\u5f81\u8bc1\u636e\u7684\u5f71\u54cd\u3002\u6700\u540eRienstra \u901a\u8fc7\u7535\u8def\u8bca\u65ad\u7684\u6848\u4f8b\u5177\u4f53\u8bf4\u660e\u4e86\u4fee\u6b63\u7684\u8fc7\u7a0b\u548c\u7ed3\u679c\u3002<\/p>\n

\u5bf9\u672c\u6b21\u62a5\u544a\u7684\u8bc4\u4ef7\uff0c\u9996\u5148\u672c\u6b21\u62a5\u544a\u5177\u6709\u8f83\u597d\u7684\u9488\u5bf9\u6027\uff0c\u5bf9\u4e8e\u903b\u8f91\u5b66\u4e13\u4e1a\u7684\u5b66\u751f\u6709\u5f88\u5927\u7684\u542f\u53d1\u4f5c\u7528\uff0cRienstra\u901a\u8fc7\u7ecf\u5178\u7684\u5b9e\u9a8c\u6848\u4f8b\u5206\u6790\uff0c\u5c06\u6982\u5ff5\u8bb2\u89e3\u5f97\u975e\u5e38\u6e05\u695a\uff0c\u4e14\u6613\u4e8e\u7406\u89e3\uff1b\u5176\u6b21\u5728\u8bb2\u5ea7\u8fc7\u7a0b\u4e2d\uff0c\u4e5f\u975e\u5e38\u6ce8\u91cd\u548c\u540c\u5b66\u4eec\u7684\u4e92\u52a8\uff0c\u540c\u5b66\u4eec\u90fd\u79ef\u6781\u7684\u63d0\u51fa\u95ee\u9898\u3001\u53c2\u4e0e\u8ba8\u8bba\uff0c\u6c14\u6c1b\u975e\u5e38\u878d\u6d3d\u3002<\/p>\n
