This informal 2-day Symposium, organised by the University of Zhejiang (China) and the University of Aberdeen (Scotland) brings together researchers from different disciplines, especially (but not only) from China and the United Kingdom, to explore synergies between their work and to explore possible future joint research projects.<\/p>\n

To make our discussions more concrete, we focus on language production and generation, a topic which is emerging as a focus for interdisciplinary work in which researchers from Computing Science, Linguistics, Psychology, Neuroscience and Philosophy collaborate to gain an understanding of a fundamental human capability. In this informal event, we welcome position papers, papers about work in progress, and papers about new project ideas relating to the (human) production and (computational) Natural Language Generation (NLG). We are particularly interested in papers that explore work in the following areas:<\/p>\n
